​Jedi Scale Order (JSO)

Congratulations, Younglings! You have been chosen across the band hall to be trained as future Scale Master Jedis. The Jedi Scale Order (JSO) led by Grandmaster Cano & Grandmaster Douglas are looking for Younglings that have a sensitivity to the Force of the Scales, indicating that you may have an aptitude for joining the Jedi ranks.

Here are the trials needed to advance through the ranks of the JSO:

• Scales can be read (or memorized) - using the Region Scale Sheet​

 

• Scale performances must be played as written on the Region Scale sheet and have no hesitations or incorrectly attacked notes at a steady tempo.

• You have ONE shot - after that, you have to retest later.

                                      "YOUR GOAL THIS IS!"

Padawan - 2 scales (any 2 of the 8 Region Scales)
Jedi Knight - 4 scales (any 2 of the remaining 6 Region Scales)
Jedi Consular - 6 scales (any 2 of the remaining 4 Region Scales)
Jedi Master - 8 scales (the last 2 remaining Region Scales) + *Chromatic Scale
                                   *Chromatic Scale can be played at any time before earning Jedi Master

The following ranks are earned by learning the 4 remaining major scales not on the Region Scale Sheet:

​Master of the Order - 10 scales (any 2 of the remaining 4 scales) + Chromatic
Grandmaster - 12 scales (the last 2 remaining scales) + Chromatic
